Meet Alistair Sharp, Senior Systems Engineer (Projects)
It’s a little surprising that Al got into IT: after all, his family has farmed cattle for five generations. We’re certainly glad that he did, though, as he’s become an invaluable part of the Bigfish Team over the last eight years.
After leaving his small town on the Upper Murray, he studied IT at TAFE. He was attracted to the subject because it’s so logical and black and white. There’s always a solution; you just need to be able to figure it out. And that’s what Al still loves about working in the IT sector.
Over the last eight years, Al has come to value the opportunities he’s had to grow within Bigfish. He also takes pride in the deep and lasting relationships that we build with our partners.
When he’s not being leading technical solutions, he’s spending time with his fiancé and their young son, getting out on his motorcycle (although not as often as he’d like, unfortunately) and playing some ice hockey, which is his other passion.
